On the eve of the completion of the national project “Healthcare” and the start of new national projects, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a seminar for the heads of all regions of Russia. The event was also attended by representatives of federal executive authorities, the Administration of the President of Russia, the Federation Council, and chief freelance specialists of the Russian Ministry of Health. The theme of the seminar was “Healthcare of the country: today and tomorrow.”
“The President set us the task of ensuring an increase in life expectancy to 78 years by 2030 and to 81 years by 2036. As the experience of other countries has shown, we can ensure this,” Tatyana Golikova emphasized at the beginning of the event. – People are the most important thing in our country. And we must achieve not only an increase in life expectancy, but an increase (duration?) of healthy and active life of our citizens. It is this priority that we have included in the new national projects “Long and Active Life” and “New Health Saving Technologies”. It is important to prevent the disease, to work with the citizen before he needs surgery or complex combined treatment.”
The Deputy Prime Minister discussed with the governors the specifics of organizing primary health care, ambulance and emergency medical care, specialized care, and the fight against cardiovascular and oncological diseases. Special attention was paid to medical personnel, issues of financing the healthcare system, preventive measures, as well as new national projects that will start in 2025.
In addition, the Chairman of the State Council Commission on State and Municipal Administration, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin made a report on the capital’s experience in improving efficiency in healthcare. As Tatyana Golikova noted, despite the fact that there cannot be universal solutions, the positive experience of Moscow can be useful to the leaders of all regions and Moscow is actively sharing its best practices to solve the common problem – preserving the life and health of Russian citizens. Only through joint efforts can the goals set by the President of the country be achieved, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
