Several Spanish media reported on Monday that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, has agreed to train the Brazilian national team.
It remains for the veteran Italian coach one year in his contract with the Spanish giant, but after leaving the quarter -finals of the Champions League at the hands of Arsenal and losing the final of the King’s Cup of Spain against Barcelona, he is about to leave Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti did not hide the possibility of his departure, and said that his future is “a topic that is decided in the coming weeks” after the defeat against Barcelona (2-3 after the extension) in the final match on Saturday in Seville.
Spanish media reported that Ancelotti will take responsibility before the matches scheduled for next June in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, leaving Madrid before the start of the World Cup in the United States this summer.
“Carlo Ancelotti has already reached an agreement with the Brazilian Football Association to take over the Brazilian team’s training once the period of his presence at Real Madrid ends,” the Madrid Sports Sports newspaper said on its website.
The newspaper “Marca” indicated that the Italian coach did not sign anything with the Brazilian Federation. The Brazilian Football Association told AFP that he “has no comment” on this issue.
The Brazilian sports newspaper “Rillivo” reported that Real Madrid will not put “any obstacles” on the path of Ancelotti’s departure to Brazil. According to the two media methods, he will leave his position at the end of the season on May 25, and therefore, Real Madrid will not lead during the World Cup clubs (June 14 to July 13).
Brazil, its coach Dorieval Junior, after its overwhelming defeat against Argentina 1-4 last March, was ranked fourth in the qualifiers.
Ancelotti, who is the most culminated coach with Real Madrid, led the Merengue to the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish League last season, where Brazilian Vinicius Junior and Rodrigo Guasu played a vital role in the team.
Ancelotti, 65, was crowned with 15 titles with Real Madrid, and the partnership with Spanish Miguel Monoz, who won 14 titles with “Meringue” in the early sixties and mid -seventies of the last century.

Real Madrid this season suffered from defensive fragility, and is 4 points behind Barcelona, the league leaders.
Ancelotti also trained many teams, most notably: Milan, Chelsea and Paris Saint -Germain.
