Raids in southern and eastern Lebanon, and Hezbollah announces the bombing of Israel with 350 missiles news

The Israeli army announced – today, Monday – that it had monitored the launching of 20 missiles from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee region in northern Israel, confirming that some of them were intercepted and others fell in open areas. Meanwhile, Hezbollah said that in one day, it launched 350 missiles towards Israel, including 17 at Tel Aviv, causing about 4 million Israelis to enter shelters.

The Al Jazeera correspondent also said that 8 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon towards the occupied Syrian Golan, and the Israeli Home Front indicated that sirens sounded in several towns north of the Golan after the missile launch was detected.

Meanwhile, Israeli raids were renewed on the southern suburb of Beirut, targeting buildings in Haret Hreik.

Last night, Israeli warplanes intensified their raids on large areas in the suburb, and also targeted several towns in southern Lebanon.

Golani Brigade

This comes at a time when Hezbollah announced the bombing of the Golani Brigade headquarters north of the city of Akka, and the bombing of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in towns and settlements on both sides of the border.

The party said that it bombed the Sharaga base, the administrative headquarters of the brigade’s command, north of the city of Akko.

It was also announced that a Merkava tank was targeted with a guided missile west of the town of Shamaa, which led to its destruction and its crew being killed and wounded.

Earlier, the party stated that it bombed with a missile barrage a gathering of Israeli forces in the Meron settlement, and the Deir Mimas-Kafr Kila triangle in southern Lebanon.

He also announced the targeting of an Israeli army force that had barricaded itself in a house during its withdrawal from the town of Bayada in southern Lebanon, leaving the force members dead and wounded.

Israeli attacks

On the other hand, the Israeli army claimed that it bombed 25 Hezbollah targets in Nabatieh, Baalbek, the Bekaa, the southern suburbs, and the outskirts of Beirut.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that Israeli raids targeted the towns of Al-Duwair, Kafr Hathi, and Zawtar Al-Gharbiya in southern Lebanon, while other raids focused on the city of Baalbek, the Wadi Umm Ali region, and the town of Labweh in the Bekaa Valley, east of the country.

The reporter also confirmed that two Israeli drones targeted two motorcycles inside the city of Tyre, south of Lebanon.

He reported that a number of people were injured after a third missile was fired at a car in the Al-Bus area around the city, noting that firefighting teams worked to put out the flames left by the Israeli bombing.

Dead and injured

The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that 9 people were killed and at least 4 others were injured in raids on southern and eastern Lebanon.

The ministry said – in a statement – that “an Israeli enemy raid on the town of Battle in the Tire district led to the death of 6 martyrs and the wounding of 4 people, including one wounded person whose condition required intensive care.”

Meanwhile, the Lebanese News Agency said that a raid on the town of Ghaziyeh in the Sidon district resulted in two martyrs, and that the search was continuing for missing persons under the rubble of the destroyed building.

One person was also killed and others were injured as a result of an Israeli raid on the Hermel area in eastern Lebanon, according to the agency.

It is noteworthy that since last September 23, Israel has expanded the scope of its aggression against Lebanon, which began in October 2023, to include most regions of the country, including the capital, Beirut, through air strikes, and also began a ground invasion in its south.

The Israeli aggression resulted in a total of 3,754 dead and 15,626 wounded, including a large number of children and women, in addition to about 1.4 million displaced people, according to official Lebanese data.
