As part of a working trip to the Arkhangelsk region, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko discussed with the governor of the region Alexander Tsybulsky the development issues in the region of science, education, tourism and youth policy, and also evaluated the preparation for the construction of a world -class campus – on behalf of the president, at least 25 such modern campuses should be created in Russia.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Arkhangelsk region is a strategically important region for Russia, including for the development of the Arctic zone, and focused on the scientific and technical potential of the subject.
“President Vladimir Putin set us a clear goal – technological leadership in priority sectors of the economy. I will note the special attention of the Arkhangelsk region to the development of the scientific sphere, which helps to achieve it. The region noticeably strengthened its position in the national rating of the NTR of the subjects of the country. He became one of the initiators of the creation of the Nutz “Russian Arctic“, which only in 2023 attracted almost 9 billion rubles of extra -budgetary funds, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He also noted that the region is active in attracting young scientists to science. In the Arkhangelsk region, youth laboratories are being created, the regional prize named after MV Lomonosov is awarded annually.
Alexander Tsybulsky identified the unique scientific and educational project “Arctic Floating University”. Since mid -January, students and scientists from all over Russia and foreign states have been sent to the Arctic on an expedition to the Arctic.
Since 2022, a project has been implemented to create a world -class student -class student “Arctic Star” in Arkhangelsk.
As part of the working trip, Dmitry Chernyshenko, along with the governor, examined the construction site of the campus. It will consist of two complexes: multifunctional, including scientific and educational buildings, physical education and health complex, catering, coworking, conference room, and a hotel, consisting of two hotels with more than 4.2 thousand places, an outpatient detention and coworking.
The deputy chairman of the Government instructed to control the deadlines for putting objects into operation, as well as to work out the participation of the Northern State Medical University in the new competitive selection of the Priority 2030 program and consider preparing an application for the creation of an advanced engineering school in the region.
“The Arkhangelsk region is conducting a leading training of qualified personnel for the economy. Today, more than 45 thousand students study at universities and colleges. Colleges are actively involved in the project “Professor“, which is implemented in the framework of the national project “Youth and children of“, and occupy a leading position in terms of cluster development. They will be created according to the four priority industries for the country, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.
The head of the region noted that over the past five years, nine schools have been built in the region, another six are under construction and will be completed in the near future. The region is also actively involved in the overhaul program. For several years, 39 schools under the modernization program were repaired and 6 as part of the integrated development of rural territories.
“Now there are 25 schools on major repairs. We continue this work, in 2026 we will complete the repair of another 33 schools and in 2027-15. In total, by 2027 we will renew 120 schools. We approach this issue comprehensively, we complement regional co -financing in order not only to carry out the necessary repairs, but also to update school territories, create infrastructure, implement the principle of “school of the full day“ so that children can receive additional education, ”added Alexander Tsybulsky.
For the professional orientation of schoolchildren in the Arkhangelsk region, 17 pre -professional engineering classes were created, another 53 will be created in the next academic year. So, from September 1, the first engineering school will appear in the Arkhangelsk region.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that 2024 became the year of youth in the Arkhangelsk region. Within its framework, a number of significant cultural, educational and patriotic events were held. Thanks to the victories in the competition “Region for Young”, the subject received about 140 million rubles for the repair and equipping of youth spaces. Four youth centers have already been modernized. Also in the capital of the region, the year -round Youth Center “Science” is successfully operating.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister added that the sphere of tourism develops dynamically in the Arkhangelsk region. The national route “The Hoken North. From Arkhangelsk to Solovkov. “
“The number of guests who visited Solovki in this winter season, in comparison with last year, doubled. The region is actively involved in the implementation of the national project “Tourism and hospitality“ and receives funds from the federal budget under it – in 2023–2024 it is more than 140 million rubles, which went to build modular hotels and design the tourist code of the Arkhangelsk center. And thanks to successful applications in 2025–2027, the Arkhangelsk region provides a single subsidy for the development of tourism in the amount of almost 390 million rubles, ”added Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Alexander Tsybulsky thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for his attention, which the federal center pays the Arkhangelsk region, including the Solovetsky archipelago: “For many years, Solovki has been in the area of attention, many times comprehensively approached their development, but over the past two years the dynamics of work is unprecedented, including thanks to your coordination.”
As the governor noted, in addition to Solovkov and other traditional tourist places, the region is famous for the northern northern National National Park “Russian Arctic” and the Kenozersky National Park.
The head of the region emphasized that all these results in tourism, education and science were achieved thanks to the integrated and systemically built work, as well as support from the Russian government.
