US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that he had been announced to accelerate the delivery of military aid to Israel worth about $ 4 billion.
Rubio said in a statement that the Trump administration, which took power on January 20, agreed to Israeli arms sales of about $ 12 billion.
He added that his country “will continue to use all available tools to meet the United States’s firm commitment to Israel’s security, including ways to confront security threats.”
He said that the announcement of accelerating the delivery of military aid to Israel coincides with the cancellation of Trump’s conditions for the administration of his predecessor Joe Biden.
This is the second time in one month, that the Trump administration has declared a state of emergency for rapid approval to sell weapons to Israel.
The administration of former President Joe Biden has previously used emergency authorities to agree to sell weapons to Israel without reviewing Congress.
On Monday, the Trump administration canceled an order issued during the Biden era, which was obligated to report the potential violations of international law related to the weapons offered by the United States to allies, including Israel.
The ceasefire agreement was reached in Gaza after an Israeli extermination war against the Gaza Strip over a period of 15 months, which led to the death and injury of more than 160,000 people and a tremendous destruction that the world has not known since World War II.
