In the Odintsovo City District of the Moscow Region, on the site of the M-1 Belarus highway from the 66th to the 84th km, reconstruction continues-60% of the work on the construction of the subgrade has already been performed. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The federal highway M-1“ Belarus “is one of the popular routes among motorists. An important direction connects the central part of Russia with Belarus. This highway with many years of history found the war years. Its active construction began in 1938. Today, along the highway there are many monuments dedicated to victory in the Great Patriotic War. Among them, a monument to the road soldiers, pilots-the defenders of Moscow in the form of the Yak-3 aircraft, a monument-cones on the battlefield of senior sergeant N.V. Sirotinin near the village of Sokolnichi. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, it is especially important to create conditions so that people can comfortably get to commemorative places and honor those who give their lives for the sake of a bright peaceful future. Now the M-1 is actively updated, and this route will be even more convenient and comfortable. On the site from the 66th to the 84th km of the highway, reconstruction continues-60% of earthwork was performed, ”said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the construction of the subgrade, a culverts and the construction of artificial structures are performed at the facility. The work is carried out in compliance with all requirements for safe travel during the reconstruction. Earlier at the facility have already been laid 5 km of asphalt concrete in the direction of the Republic of Belarus.

The reconstructed section of the M-1 highway provides for the expansion of the roadway from four to six lanes. It is also planned to exclude the intersection of traffic flows at the same level, arrange artificial lighting lines and mount a barrier fence. This will increase the throughput of the route, provide comfortable and safe travel for its users. In addition, for the convenience of drivers and passengers on the 74th km of the highway, a recreation area will be equipped, which meets all modern requirements.

According to Vyacheslav Petushenko, the chairman of the board of the Avtodor state -owned company, 12 artificial structures will be erected at this facility. These are two bridges over the Nar and Kapanka rivers, four overpasses and six aboveground pedestrian crossings.

“Now, as part of the project for the reconstruction of the M-1 section“ Belarus “Between the Council and Dorokhovo, work is underway on three artificial structures-two overpasses and the bridge over the Kapanka River. On the bridge, we carry out work on the device of monolithic bodies of supports. The piles were already scored and the grillages on both supports were concreted. And on the 74th km, we pour the embankment of the future transport interchange, and also arrange the foundation of the overpass. There is still a lot of work ahead, so we will only increase the pace, ”said Vyacheslav Petushenko.

Currently, more than 900 people and 350 units of construction equipment are involved in the production site. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2026.
