The orange shadow of Donald Trump is starting to give its signals around the world and of course also in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was eagerly awaiting this moment, postponed the end of the fighting in Gaza (temporarily?) until the time of Trump’s entry into the White House. He still assures his partners from the extreme right that they have nothing to fear and that under the new regime things will look different. Is it true?
The window of opportunity
The window of opportunity for an endless war that will lead to the exile of the Gazan population and Jewish settlement in the vacant land – closed with a bang after 416 days of fighting. Trump, who entered the White House, brought an end to the fighting in Gaza, and Netanyahu’s promises to continue the fighting no longer convince his friends in the government. On the Messianic side, who believe in a protracted war that will destroy Hamas, there are those who still wish for the realization of the idea of ”voluntary migration” of the residents of Gaza, at the cost of the abductees.
