“Despite the great sadness and difficult circumstances that people in Gaza are experiencing, everyone I met today was happy for the joy of our people in Syria,” such were the words of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas Al-Sharif, who published many posts expressing the joy of the victory of the people of Syria, wishing relief and joy for the Gaza Strip.

As for correspondent Hossam Shabat, he opened his posts today on the X platform with the phrase, “Long live Syria,” hoping that Gaza would experience the victory and freedom that Syria is currently experiencing.

Gazan writer Jihad Helles confirmed that the residents of the Gaza Strip, despite the suffering they have been experiencing from bombing, killing, and hunger since October 7, 2023, feel joy and share happiness with their brothers in Syria.

He added in another post, “For 13 years I have been praying to God to revive me until the morning of that day when I see the outcome of the criminal Bashar al-Assad.”

As for the influencer known as Abu Salah, he opened his morning with a post congratulating the people of Gaza, and said, “Morning of freedom, O Syria, and God willing, the morning of freedom, O Gaza, is coming soon.”

While journalist Karam Hassan attached a picture of ousted President Bashar al-Assad with the phrase, “Who is the king today?”

“Beautiful Syria is liberated” is a phrase carried by a photo published from the account of the young Gazan known as Abboud, known as the youngest journalist in the Gaza war, where he shared his joy at liberating Syria from the previous regime that lasted for years.

The rule of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, which took power in Syria in 1963 and lasted 61 years, collapsed at dawn on Sunday, with the Bashar al-Assad regime losing control of the capital, Damascus, and entering the control of armed opposition factions.
