In the tenth month of the year 2023, in the 76th year of the existence of the State of Israel, a terrible thing happened to it. On the morning of Shabbat, Simchat Torah, enemy battalions broke through the country’s border fence, rushed into its settlements, and throughout that day they killed, murdered and slaughtered the residents of Israel – women, children, men and children: houses with their occupants were set on fire, entire families – parents and their children – were slaughtered to death. Over 1,200 people perished during this terrible day, over 240 people, including soldiers and soldiers, girls and boys, women, men, children, a toddler and a baby were kidnapped across the border. Two weeks after the bloody event, the State of Israel went to war in enemy territory. A year after the event, over a hundred people were still kidnapped by the enemy.
