Jordanian Public Security announced the killing of a person who opened fire on security personnel in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy in the capital, Amman.
Public Security reported that 3 security personnel were injured after someone opened fire on them in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy in Amman.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that Jordanian security closed all roads leading to the Israeli embassy headquarters west of the capital, Amman, after gunfire occurred in its vicinity.

A Jordanian security source told Al Jazeera that the security event ended around the Israeli embassy, and the entrances leading to the embassy were controlled.
Reuters had quoted witnesses as saying that the Jordanian police imposed a security cordon around the Israeli embassy after hearing gunshots.
Two witnesses said that police cars and ambulances rushed to the Rabieh neighborhood, where the embassy is located, after hearing sporadic gunfire.
A security source said that the police appealed to residents to remain in their homes while security personnel searched for the shooters.
The area near the embassy, which is subject to intense guarding, is one of the known areas where protests against Israel are usually held.
