New Delhi. After increasing cases of Coronavirus in Maharashtra, the state government has issued measures like night curfew/partial lockdown. Maharashtra Government announced on Tuesday that night curfew will be imposed in Mumbai after 8 pm from Wednesday. During this period, only essential services and goods will be allowed to be transported. Restaurants have been closed, food delivery has been allowed across the state. Perhaps Zomato did not understand this order of night curfew of Maharashtra government. That’s why Zomato’s co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal, who was upset about the night curfew from 8 pm, attacked his arch rival Swiggy at great expense. Goyal tweeted.
Know what CEO Deepinder Goyal writes
Zomato CEO wrote that Zomato is ready to deliver essential food items after 8 pm during the night curfew in Mumbai, but we are not doing so because we are law abiding people. But I see that our competitor is delivering even after 8 pm. I appeal to Mumbai Police to clarify this matter.
Zomato is prepared to provide the essential food delivery service post 8pm in Mumbai, but we are not doing so because we are abiding by the letter of the law.
I see our competition is continuing to operate post 8pm. I urge @MumbaiPolice to please clarify the way forward here. pic.twitter.com/LFd9qZUmED

Swiggy did not say anything on this but Mumbai Police immediately responded. Mumbai Police wrote that please read the government notification, home delivery has been allowed, but no time limit has been fixed. After this Zomato realized its mistake and apologized.
Thank you. Mumbai, we are on tomorrow. We have received the notice at 9:54pm. @swiggy_in – I am sorry, had no other choice. I love you ❤️ https://t.co/LbPMNRJL2i
