US President Donald Trump said on Sunday evening that it is up to Israel about the nature of the next step in Gaza, but after “consulting with me.”
Commenting on the launch of Israeli prisoners from the Gaza Strip, Trump told reporters, “The good news is that they are (the prisoners) in very good condition.”
On Saturday, the Palestinian resistance handed over 3 Israeli prisoners, one of whom holds American citizenship and the other Russian, to the International Committee of the Red Cross, which in turn transferred them to the Israeli army in the sixth batch of the deal.
On the other hand, Israel released 369 prisoners, including 333 from Gaza, who were arrested after October 7, 2023, in addition to 36 prisoners of life.

He added that Hamas eventually committed to the release of Israeli prisoners, who said it seemed “in very good.”
He went on to say, “The decision in the next step will be for Israel to consult with me.”
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced the freezing of the release of Israeli prisoners last week, in protest against Israel’s violation of the human protocol of the agreement, which included the continuation of the military operations in the Gaza Strip, the delay of the return of the displaced, and the prevention of the entry of 400 cafes (a ready -made house) for shelter, in addition to Obtaining the entry of medical and food aid.
But she later decided to release three prisoners, after receiving guarantees from the mediators to compel Israel to respect the terms of the agreement.
The ceasefire agreement began on January 19, 2025, and includes 3 stages, each lasting 42 days, with each stage being negotiated separately before starting the next.
Egypt and Qatar are conducting extensive mediation to save the agreement, in light of the continued Israeli violations and logistical gaps that prevented the implementation of the first -stage items.
