During my work with the former Soviet Union, I have collected some painted wooden dolls, known as cramped. For those who do not know – they are half in the middle and open to discover another doll, smaller, and another, usually five or six, with the small ones in them and not open. Like any useless item that has been on a shelf for years at home, I have not noticed them, until I recently realized that they have a role, as a symbol. How?
I was asked what I thought of the war achievements. Apparently a simple, but not so. Suddenly I realized that our wars like a nesting dolls, one in the other. In addition to the never -ending war in terrorism (and as a solution, as is well known, the expansion of settlement in the Occupied Territories, as if it does not preserve and deepen the conflict). We are still in the midst of the “Iron Swords” war, the one who are trying to dress another character, “the war war”, but most of us identify as the “Seven October” war.
