The Israeli occupation forces refused, for the second consecutive Friday, to hand over the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, south of the West Bank, with its full facilities, squares and doors.
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments said that the occupation forces refused to open the eastern door in the campus for the second time, which led to the refusal of the ministry to receive the sanctuary, missing from one of its important parts, because of the implicit recognition of this decrease.
The occupation forces tightened their security measures at the gates leading to the Ibrahimi Mosque on the second Friday of Ramadan, and they were accumulated in the identities of the Palestinians, and prevented those under the age of 25 years from entering it.
The Israeli association had informed at the end of last February the administration of the Ibrahimi Mosque that the actions in the campus were transferred from the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments to the so -called “Israeli Civil Planning Authority”.
According to the decision that the Palestinian endowments declared rejection, the work of the roof of the area known as the “Souk” of the Ibrahimi Mosque will be resumed.
Settlers had placed a tent at the plate 20 years ago, and they allocated it as a place of worship and remained standing until today, as the settlers demand the ceiling of the plate to allocate it as a place of worship.
The occupation forces began the ceiling of the courtyard on July 9th last year, and stopped working with it two days later, after a popular gift in Hebron, which were stops and protests organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
