The Gulf Football Association held an urgent meeting – Saturday – during which it considered changing the dates of the semi-final and final matches of the Gulf Cup (Gulf 26).
The Federation is expected to announce tomorrow, Sunday, the final and official schedule for the two semi-final matches.
Saudi Arabia was scheduled to play against Oman next Tuesday, with tournament host Kuwait playing Bahrain on the same day.
The Gulf Federation said that the meeting comes due to the great demand for tickets for the two semi-final matches, and in response to the desire of the Gulf fans to attend the two matches in the stadium.
He added that the high demand for tickets may not be suitable for holding the semi-finals at Jaber Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Stadium in Sulaibikhat.
