Gauhar/Delhi: Some poet once said that a man can do anything in love. Something similar has been shown by a couple named Swati Bhargava and Rohan Bhargava who met for the first time in the London School of Economics and their love started from there in 2008. After which he got married in 2009 and then left his good job and came to India and started his own business.
Today people know his business by the name of CashKaro. Which he started in 2013. Ratan Tata, a well-known name of our country, has also invested in this business. His business has generated a revenue of more than Rs 250 crore in FY23. He started this business with just a few lakh rupees, which he collected from his relatives and friends.
How did both of them fall in love?
Swati told that both of them used to study in the London School of Economics and one day they came to know that someone was calling their friends to their house and cooking and feeding them Indian food. Then she also decided that she would also go and eat food cooked by an Indian and that Indian was Rohan. After which they became good friends and lived in a flat for a long time. After which he came into a relationship and after that he got married.
easy business model
Let us tell you that if you shop from other sites (Amazon, Snapdeal, Jabong, Paytm etc.) through CashKaro, then this site gives you cashback. Also, the website from which you are purchasing the item also gives you a discount. In this way you get double benefit. But the question is, where does CashKaro earn from? Actually, on getting customers, e-commerce sites pay commission to CashKaro. A major part of this commission is given to the customers. You can also understand this that CashKaro receives 5-10 percent commission from its retail partners. He passes this benefit on to his consumers. All parties benefit from this.
Reason behind the name CashKaro
Swati told that it was Rohan who named CashKaro and after that Rohan said that he kept this name because of the Indian touch. Because half of the names in it are English and half are Hindi and it was his idea to touch the rural areas along with the metro cities. On the issue of IPO, Rohan said that it will take about 2 to 3 years to reach the IPO. His team is working for this.
