Geopolitical tensions are escalating around the Sawalki corridor, which is 70 km length, which links Belarus to the Russian Calinigrad province across the Polish lymphus.
With the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Moscow strengthened its military presence and conducted maneuvers that mimic control of the corridor, which raised the concerns of the Baltic states of secession from NATO (NATO).
The West is afraid to convert the Baltic Sea into a closed lake, while Russia adheres to its national security, which makes the corridor a possible spark to confront a future.
