A strain story tells of a teacher who asked his student what the meaning of life is. The student replied that life is like a large and flowing river. The teacher responded: “You didn’t understand anything.” The student later met the teacher and returned to him: “So what is the meaning of life?” The teacher replied: “Life is like a large and flowing river.”
In my opinion, the story is designed to illustrate that understanding is not concise in giving the right answer, as the student can memorize the lesson but still not really understand. Today, in the age of artificial intelligence, it is enough to provide an “correct” answer. But is it a real understanding?
