President Donald Trump’s joint performance and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Monday) in the White House illustrated the differences between the two: While Trump talked about a vision for “eternal peace”, Netanyahu spoke about how Hamas would marry Hamas – as if he would “be guilty” if the Trump program did not succeed.
Although Netanyahu stole a statement of support for the Trump program, the overall impression was that of empty flattery and foot towing after the vision. After Trump stated that Netanyahu supports the program, Netanyahu has no choice but to avoid a public disagreement with an assertive president who should not be killed.
