Onions coming from the nearest Rajasthan are being sold at the rate of Rs 4-6 per kg. Whereas onion coming from Nashik, MP, Gujarat of Maharashtra is being sold at Rs 8-12 per kg. The most expensive onion at present is from Pune. Which is going in bulk for Rs 15 per kg.

Akhil Gupta, onion dealer in Azadpur market, says that onion is already cheap this time, farmers are facing loss due to this.
