New Delhi. No matter what people think about the use of cow dung, the paint made from cow dung, launched under the Prime Minister’s message Local for Vocal, is being liked a lot across the country. People are painting their dream houses with this paint. This paint, prepared in an institute of Jaipur in collaboration with Khadi Gramodyog, is selling rapidly.
It has been told by the senior officer of Khadi Village Industries Commission that its sale is much better. Within just 12 days, three and a half thousand liters of paint made from cow dung has been sold. This is also when the paint was sold only from two stores in Delhi and Jaipur. However, now Khadi Village Industries has also started its online sale. After which people can order it from anywhere in the country.
Even during the trial and testing of this paint made from cow dung, three thousand liters of this paint has been sold. Its testing work is still going on. Any paint manufactured by any company contains a volatile organic compound (VOC). VOCs contain some harmful elements which come out as steam during painting. This causes irritation in the eyes of the person who is painting. In the testing and its final report, it was seen that the amount of VOC in this paint made from cow dung is negligible. Because of which it does not cause any problem.
People are also being made aware about the use of cow by making products from cow dung. So that cow rearing increases in the country.
It has also come to light in the feedback of the people who ordered this paint that it is an eco-friendly product due to which people are liking it very much. It was told by Village Industries that it has been started for the employment generated from cows. However, due to its usefulness, it is being liked by the people.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also got it painted
This paint was launched on January 12 by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister looking after MSME. Not only this, before launching this paint, Nitin Gadkari has also used it on the walls of his residence. It has been painted in many buildings of Khadi Village Industries. The work of making it has been started especially in cow shelters. It is estimated that around Rs 4500 per month will be earned from cow dung. Paint made from cow dung has many benefits. It is anti bacterial, anti fungal. It is cheap. It does not contain heavy metals.
