The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that in recent years the foundation for the development of the information technology industry has been created in Russia.
In particular, a modern telecommunications infrastructure has been created. More than 80% of mobile subscribers are in the 4G reception area. Over 90% of households have access to high-speed Internet.
Significant attention has been focused on developing talent for the digital industry. Over the past five years, the number of employees in IT companies has grown by more than 70% to almost 1 million people. The number of budget places in universities for IT specialties has been doubled.
A high level of digitalization of the public administration system has been achieved. Over the past five years, the number of users of the public services portal has increased one and a half times. To date, more than 112 million citizens are registered on the portal, and over 1.6 thousand government services have been provided on it.
Using a digital management model, the implementation of national projects and state programs is monitored, as well as the formation and execution of the budget at the federal, regional and municipal levels. As a result of the application of this management model, the level of achievement of indicators for national projects was almost 100% at the end of last year.
“Starting this year, we launched a new national project “Data Economy”. The emphasis in it is on system tasks. Firstly, this is the development of a secure infrastructure for data transmission and processing. We are talking about equipping with 5G infrastructure and creating a satellite constellation. At the same time, we will develop and apply a unified standard for the provision of public services. Citizens should receive services quickly and conveniently, regardless of where in the country they are located. A separate area of work is the introduction of artificial intelligence into most sectors of the economy and social sphere. Along with the use of new technologies, we will increase the security of information systems,” emphasized Dmitry Grigorenko.
In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that a project approach will be used to implement digital projects. This method will allow you to more effectively manage resources, control deadlines and achieve your goals.
