Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak chaired the first meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the international forum “Russian Energy Week”.

The event was attended by representatives of federal authorities, energy companies and industry communities.

Opening the meeting, Alexander Novak noted the substantive level of the business program, the geography of participants and guests of the Russian Energy Week 2024. The Deputy Prime Minister said that this year the program will retain its content, diversity and intensity, and will also expand its international representation. “REN 2024 has once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most significant events in the field of international energy. We see high interest from both Russian and foreign guests. In this cycle of preparation for the forum, special attention will be paid to expanding the participation of the foreign business community,” said Alexander Novak.

The main events of the REW-2025 program will be held in Moscow, at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, and are scheduled for October 15 and 16, October 17 will be Youth Day. In addition, an exhibition of industry innovative projects and high-tech equipment for the fuel and energy complex will again be organized at the Gostiny Dvor site. This year, more than 50 exhibitors presented their technological developments and equipment for all sectors of the energy sector.

Advisor to the President of Russia, executive secretary of the organizing committee of the international forum “Russian Energy Week” Anton Kobyakov outlined the main elements of preparation for the forum in 2025. “When preparing the business program for next year’s forum, greater emphasis will be placed on dialogue with foreign partners in all sectors of the energy sector, as well as on the involvement of the heads of partner energy companies in the work of the forum and personal participation in the program sessions. The Russian Federation will next year co-chair the Commonwealth of Independent States – this will further attract guests from the countries of the association to participate. I am confident that the forum will traditionally become a place of attraction for serious international industry specialists, heads of energy companies, foreign officials, representatives of the business, expert and media communities,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov.

The REW program in 2025 will be structured in several key areas: oil and gas and coal industries, electric power, digital technologies, scientific and technological development of the energy industry, climate agenda, energy security and other areas. The central event of the business program will be the plenary session. Special attention will be paid to nuclear energy as part of the 80th anniversary of the industry; it is planned to organize a large stand of nuclear industry technologies and equipment at the exhibition.

On the eve of the events of the Russian Energy Week, the scientific and practical conference “Territory of Energy Dialogue” will be held for the fourth time, which is of an applied nature and is designed to ensure communication between the engineering complex and scientific institutions.

Also, as part of REW-2025, a solemn ceremony will be held to present the international award “Global Energy” for outstanding research and scientific and technical developments that contribute to increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources on Earth in the interests of all humanity, and the traditional awarding of the winners of the international journalistic award “Energy of the Pen” “

The Russian Energy Week program will end with the traditional Youth Day. Young specialists and students of Russian and foreign energy universities will be able to personally ask questions to energy industry professionals and enterprise managers, as well as present initiatives and the results of their work.

In 2024, as part of the business program of the forum, exhibition and REW Youth Day, over 100 events were held with the participation of more than 350 speakers. In total, over 5.3 thousand delegates from 81 countries and territories took part in the Russian Energy Week; more than 5.5 thousand people visited the exhibition of equipment and technologies for the fuel and energy sector. 28 agreements and memorandums of cooperation were concluded at the forum. More than 2.2 thousand participants took part in the Youth Day events, presenting dozens of projects and industry initiatives.
