Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov congratulated the team of Russian schoolchildren, which took first place in the team competition at the International Olympiad of CIS countries “Talent Training Laboratory”. The Olympics took place in Azerbaijan, and the guys won three gold medals in the individual competition.
“President Vladimir Putin emphasized that 2025 will be a key year for launching a new stage in Russia’s technological development. The impressive achievements of our guys at the International Olympiad of CIS countries “Talent Training Laboratory” confirm the high potential of Russian youth and their ability to fulfill in the future all the ambitious tasks that the country faces today. We sincerely rejoice at the victories of our schoolchildren and thank their teachers, mentors, and parents for their contribution. Friends, you showed excellent results and high-quality training in three disciplines at once: physics, chemistry and mathematics. We congratulate and believe that the future of the country lies with such capable and hardworking guys,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
The “Talent Training Laboratory” Olympiad traditionally brings together the best schoolchildren from the CIS countries who solve problems in three disciplines: physics, chemistry and mathematics. This year, Russian participants demonstrated high results, representing the country worthily on the international stage.
“Congratulations to our guys who showed excellent results at the International Olympiad of CIS countries “Talent Training Laboratory”. At the competition, schoolchildren demonstrated excellent knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics, as well as the ability to solve problems at the intersection of sciences. Today, such interdisciplinary specialists are widely in demand in our country. I am confident that this victory will be the starting point on the path to further significant achievements, and will also open up interesting professional prospects,” said Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
Winners of the International Olympiad of CIS countries “Talent Training Laboratory”:
— Arseny Gasanenko (International School of Blended Learning, Moscow);
— Anna Mikhailova (Lyceum “Second School” named after V.F. Ovchinnikov, Moscow);
— Yaroslav Tikhonyuk (school No. 57, Moscow).
The team leader was Anna Korneva, assistant at the Department of General Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The International Olympiad of CIS countries “Talent Training Laboratory” has been held since 2017. The competition is similar to the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).
