Li Qiang (as translated): …an important result. Despite new external risks and challenges, in this process China and Russia always support each other, increase strategic contacts and interaction, and strive to jointly overcome difficulties. This fully indicates that China and Russia are good neighbors and reliable partners who can always trust each other. We are full of confidence in the prospects for relations between China and Russia.

The Chairman of the Government, Mr. Mishustin, and I just had a deep exchange of views on key issues of our cooperation and came to many agreements. The heads of the relevant commissions will make a report.

And I hope that during today’s meeting our teams will be able to summarize the work done and compare notes on issues of mutual interest. Combine our efforts and understanding to develop plans and prioritize cooperation in the next phase, so that comprehensive practical cooperation moves along the path indicated by our leaders and bears more fruits for the benefit of our peoples.

I give you the floor, Mr. Mishustin.

M. Mishustin: Thank you. Dear Mr. Li Qiang! Dear colleagues!

I welcome the participants of the anniversary, 30th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China. This unique format has been operating for three decades, which speaks of the constancy, reliability and stability of Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.

As Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin emphasized, Moscow and Beijing have a broad community of interests and similar views on fundamental issues.

Despite the turbulence in global politics and the world economy, cooperation between Russia and China is strengthening. We are launching new large-scale projects. This is the development of oil and gas fields, the production of high-tech equipment, cooperation in the field of energy, peaceful nuclear energy, space and lunar exploration. We are implementing joint programs in aviation and the automotive industry. We are developing transport corridors. We work in extreme Arctic conditions.

China is Russia’s largest foreign economic partner. Moreover, the share of the dollar and euro in trade settlements has already dropped to the level of statistical error.

The turnover of agricultural products in the nine months of this year increased by 15%. We are ready to increase the supply of high-quality Russian food products, familiar to Chinese residents thanks to the “Made in Russia” festivals and fairs.

The interest of the Russian and Chinese peoples in each other’s history and traditions is growing. We expect to exceed last year’s figures for tourist exchanges. This is facilitated by the transition to a visa-free entry regime for Russians into China. On behalf of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, we are working on similar solutions for Chinese citizens.

Cooperation in the field of higher education is expanding. Over 50 thousand young people from China study in Russia. There are now about 20 thousand Russian students in Chinese universities.

We pay great attention to personnel training issues. And we ensure the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level to hold cross Years of Education between Russia and China. And also on the creation of the Russian-Chinese Institute for Fundamental Research. A unified network of research infrastructure for “megascience” class facilities is being formed, which is necessary for joint innovative scientific developments.

Dear colleagues! Dear friends!

A Chinese proverb says: mutual trust is the cornerstone of friendship. It is this, as well as an understanding of common interests and the desire to move forward together, that helps us effectively solve the long-term tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. I am confident that, working shoulder to shoulder, we will cope with all challenges.

And of course, I am pleased to invite dear Mr. Li Qiang, my friend, to continue our fruitful communication in Moscow. Perhaps this will happen in mid-November at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Thank you for your attention. And I propose moving on to the reports of the heads of intergovernmental commissions.
