Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Alexei Besprozvannykh. The parties discussed the current performance indicators of the agro-industrial complex and the implementation of the activities of the “Ecological Well-Being” national project.
The agro-industrial complex of the Kaliningrad region is developing confidently. The key segment is crop production. About 100 types of crops are grown in the region. This year, the sown area was increased by 5%, which allowed for a good harvest. The successful implementation of seasonal field work was facilitated by the modernization of the technical park of the agro-industrial complex. Agricultural producers have increased the pace of purchasing grain and forage harvesters, tractors and other equipment.
Improving the quality of life in rural areas remains an important task. This year, more than 1 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to the region for the implementation of the state program “Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories”. This made it possible to continue the construction and reconstruction of social facilities, roads and engineering infrastructure, and the improvement of public spaces.
Dmitry Patrushev and Alexey Besprozvannykh also discussed the implementation of the activities of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”. In particular, within the framework of the federal project “Forest Conservation” until 2030, it is planned to increase the area of reforestation in the region, carry out maintenance work on forest crops and modernize forest seed production. Also, as part of the federal project “Water of Russia”, six objects with a length of more than 56 km will be cleared.
Particular attention was paid to the development of a municipal solid waste management system in the Kaliningrad region. Currently, a plan has been agreed upon for the construction of a facility for sorting, disposal and disposal of solid waste with a capacity of 350 thousand tons in the village of Kornevo, Bagrationovsky District. In addition, at the landfill near the village of Zhavoronkovo, Gusevsky District, it is planned to reconstruct a waste sorting complex and build additional disposal cards.
Speaking about organizing the collection and removal of waste from accumulation sites, Alexey Besprozvannykh noted that in order to improve the condition of container sites, 200 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget in 2026.
