The National Center “Russia” hosted a thematic session “Platform of the future: 100 projects of Russia. Construction”, during which Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin presented key projects within the framework of the national goal “Comfortable and safe living environment”.
“The strategy for spatial development of Russia until 2030, with a forecast until 2036, determines the foundations of the country’s growth and the principles of territorial development. Its main goal is to create a single, balanced system connecting all regions and settlements. For an integrated approach to this work, the national project “Infrastructure for Life” was approved. It covers all the infrastructure necessary for a comfortable life for citizens. Significant work has already been done, but much remains to be done. 2,160 strongholds have been identified. These are not only urban agglomerations and administrative centers, but also small towns and rural settlements. Priority areas have been identified in which improvement in the quality of the living environment will be assessed. The era of change has shown our the ability to quickly adapt to changes, so we will continue to move confidently towards our goals as a well-coordinated team,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to Marat Khusnullin, the key element of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” is the development of housing construction. By 2030, it is planned to renew the housing stock by a third and build 663 million square meters. m of new housing and achieving a security of 0.82 sq. m per person on average for the country. In 2025, it is planned to ensure the commissioning of more than 100 million square meters. m of housing.
The development of the supporting road network continues – the busiest and most socially important directions. Key transport corridors are being implemented, including the Russia route, Europe – Western China, and North – South route, which includes the Azov Ring.
The priorities also include the implementation of the program for the socio-economic development of the reunited regions. Since 2022, the construction and reconstruction of almost 24 thousand objects has been completed. Two to three dozen new social, utility and infrastructure facilities are put into operation every week.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the completion of large-scale work to implement projects in the field of education and culture; the largest world-class cultural clusters in the country are being created in four cities – Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Kaliningrad and Sevastopol. A number of projects have already been completed. For example, a new building of the Museum of the World Ocean – “Planet Ocean” was opened in Kaliningrad; in St. Petersburg, the restoration of the building of the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory was completed; in Moscow, a new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya Embankment began work last year.
