Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko greeted the participants and organizers of the 31st International Exhibition of Tourism and the MITT hospitality industry.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the enormous potential of Russia for the development of tourism and hospitality, due to the variety of climatic zones, unique routes and a rich cultural heritage.
“The tourist sphere has a multiplier effect for the economy and contributes to the development of more than 50 adjacent industries. By decision of President Vladimir Putin in Russia, the implementation of the national project “Tourism and hospitality” continues. By 2030, the task of increasing the contribution of tourism to the country’s GDP to 5% is set up and to ensure an increase in the number of internal tourist trips to 140 million. As part of the national project, the necessary conditions are created for the development of tourism infrastructure, including through the construction of federal round -the -year resorts of the project “Five Slavs” And Lake Baikal “, as well as the training of personnel and promotion of national tourism products,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He also expressed confidence that the discussion of key issues of tourism development on the exhibition’s fields will contribute to the solution of relevant problems of the industry, and wished the participants in productive work.
The 31st International Exhibition of Tourism and the MITT hospitality industry is held from March 18 to 20 in Moscow. Representatives of more than 50 regions of Russia take part in the event, including new, as well as travel companies and operators from 30 foreign countries.
