“These are not just citizens of the third age, these are our beloved grandparents, for which we do everything possible for their life to continue so that this generation with unique experience transfers the best traditions to the young generation and that it always feels absolutely in demand. 2024 completed one of the national projects that were declared the president – this is the national project “Demography“, where events on the topic of active longevity occupied a strong place. Starting from January 1, 2025, on behalf of the Head of State, new national projects absorb all the best that they managed to develop in the previous period. And today it is not just one national project “Family“, but also the events of the national project “High School“, the events of the national project “Long and active life“, a number of other events in other national projects that we will implement in order to create a comfortable environment for our older generation citizens. The best practices that we have developed, including within the framework of our competition, are also an integral part of the government’s strategy in the interests of older citizens until 2030 in the near future, ”the Deputy Prime Minister said.
According to Tatyana Golikova, 12 million older citizens participate in active longevity programs. Of these, 8.5 million are actively involved in sports, 2 million – social tourism, a million – take part in universities of the third age, and more than 200 thousand are active “silver” volunteers.

“We have already begun to discuss with the Ministry of Labor and would like to discuss with you [экспертами и участниками
отбора]how we must further transform the assessment of the practices and the competition itself. Perhaps now we must evaluate the complexity of regional programs, and then we must approach the development of a technique taking into account the contribution of leading organizations of a region to the comprehensive program of active longevity, ”said Sofia Malyavina.
In the near future, experts and partners of the All -Russian selection of the best practices of active longevity will formulate proposals to launch the new season.
