Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin took part in a meeting of the board of the Federal Road Agency, where they summed up the results of the activities for 2024 and discussed key tasks for the future.

“Rosavtodor makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of our citizens, increasing the connectedness of territories and mobility of the population. According to the results of system work, with the support of the President and the Government, in six years, all indicators of the national project “Safe high -quality roads„ have been successfully achieved. From 2019 to 2024, more than 5.2 thousand km of federal, regional and local roads were built and reconstructed at the expense of the federal budget. Since 2018, about 1 billion square met. m of asphalt concrete coating in the regions. This length can be wrapped 25 times around the equator! Giant and difficult work was carried out by road workers in the new regions of our country. Of course, there are still many tasks ahead. Including it is important to pay close attention to reducing accident rate, especially in areas with high intensity, make integrated decisions, and develop roadside service zones. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the road industry is facing the strategic task of ensuring seamless logistics so that as many citizens as possible can use high-quality roads. The work on the formation of the Rossiya route from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, the international transport corridors of the North-South and Europe-Western China, the development of the Azov Ring, the road network in the regions of the country and bringing roads to normative state will continue.

The Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit emphasized that the priority task for the coming years is to fulfill the decree of the President of Russia – bringing 85% of the federal road network to the standard. The main emphasis must be placed for repairs and restoration of wear layers. The minister settled on the issue of reducing mortality in an accident. “An important mechanism for increasing road safety is the separation of counterclaims. The emphasis must be transferred to major repairs with an increase in the number of lanes from two to four. In many cases, from an economic point of view, this is more effective than reconstruction, a method of increasing the throughput of roads and traffic safety, ”said Roman Starovoyut.

The head of the Federal Road Agency Roman Novikov emphasized the importance of joint work on the creation of the supporting network of roads of the Russian Federation, which formed the basis of the formation of a transport strategy until 2030 with a prospect of until 2035. “The development of the support network showed the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to solving strategic problems of the transport complex. This work is of key importance in ensuring an effective transport message in our country and increasing road safety, and most importantly, to improve the quality of life of people, ”said Roman Novikov.

The meeting was also attended by heads of federal state -owned management institutions for road management, representatives of relevant departments and companies.

During the meeting, the ceremony of presenting state awards of the Russian Federation, gratitude of the government, departmental awards of the Ministry of Transport, as well as symbolic gold rollers – for the best indicators in the work was held.
