Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko. The parties discussed the development of science, education and youth policy in the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the subject in the training of qualified personnel for promising industries and noted the active participation of the region in federal projects.

“President Vladimir Putin set us a clear goal – to achieve technological leadership in priority sectors of the economy. Preparation of qualified personnel is a priority direction in this work. Colleges of the region are actively involved in the program “Professor in Partnership with key industrial companies in the region. I also note a high involvement in the implementation of the project by the region, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.

Now more than 132 thousand students are studying at universities and colleges of the Omsk region.

Closers of Professor are created in five priority areas: clinical and preventive medicine, mechanical engineering, agriculture, fuel and energy complex, tourism and service sector.

On the basis of the Omsk State Technical University, an advanced engineering school (PSH) “Stock instrumentation” was launched. Industrial partners were the main representatives of the engineering industry, in the interests of which the spelling is implementing scientific projects.

Dmitry Chernyshenko recommended Vitaly Hotsenko to work out the issue of participating in the regional universities in the competitive selection of the updated Priority-2030 program.

The Omsk Region plans to take part in the future competitive selection of world -class camps. The concept of campus “Capital of Siberia” is aimed at developing such areas as space engineering and additive technologies, electronic instrumentation, construction and energy. According to the head of the region, the project already has industrial partners – Rostec, Roscosmos, Gazpromneft, Sberlogistics.

In Russia, the construction of world -class campus is under the framework of the national project “Youth and Children” – on behalf of the president, at least 25 such modern campuses should be created by 2030.

The governor added that the creation of the Interuniversity campus “Capital of Siberia” in Omsk is one of the priority projects for today.

“We see the need for such an object, and I am convinced that the campus will affect the preservation and influx of talented applicants and promising qualified personnel. This year we apply for participation in the competitive selection and count on support, ”said Vitaliy Khotsenko.

Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the leadership of the region is taking measures to attract young scientists to science. The Government of the Omsk region encourages young researchers with a special annual prize. Youth laboratories are created in the region, a laboratory is opened under the leadership of leading scientists.

The Deputy Prime Minister called on the governor to pay attention to the advisability of the participation of scientific and educational organizations of the regional higher education in such projects as the MEGAGRAITS program, the creation of new world-class centers, conducting research on the priorities of scientific and technological development, and the programs of the Russian Scientific Fund.

The meeting participants also discussed the construction project in the region of the only flagship school in Siberia, which is being implemented on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. According to the governor, the selection of the site is now underway.

Another topic was events that will be held in Omsk – the youth capital of Russia – 2025. The day of youth will be the key event.
