Good day, dear Lord I am Aun Hello!

Welcome to the house of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Myanmar is our important partner in the Asia-Pacific region, and this year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the signing of a joint declaration on the basics of friendly relations between Russia and Myanmar.

I am convinced that your visit will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Myanmar in all directions, and our governments will ensure a clear fulfillment of the agreements that will be reached according to the results of your negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

Despite the illegitimate sanctions against Russia and Myanmar, our trade and economic cooperation is developing successfully, mutual trade is growing. There are good opportunities for building our cooperation in the energy, peaceful atom, transport infrastructure, and agriculture.

We are working on new joint projects in the telecommunications sector, information technology, food industry, mining and processing of minerals.

We offer to increase interaction in the investment area. Russian companies are ready to connect to the work of the special economic zone “Daway” on the territory of Myanmar. This is a strategic project that will increase mutual turnover and create new jobs for small and medium -sized businesses.

We pay special attention to cooperation in the field of education. The number of students from Myanmar who studies in Russian universities is growing.

According to the results of negotiations in the Kremlin, an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of education, qualifications and scientists of the degrees should be signed. This will create a reliable legal basis for the work of university graduates.

I would like to offer more actively developing tourist exchanges. It will be interesting for our citizens to get acquainted with the unique nature, cultural and spiritual traditions of Russia and Myanmar.

At this meeting, I would like to discuss the issues of cooperation between our countries, the situation in our country and political changes around the world. Today we will discuss it with you.

This is my 11th visit to Russia. Each time in Russia I am accepted very warmly, friendly and hospitably. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude for this technique.

Relations between our two countries have originated since 1948. This year marks the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. During all these years, our relations and mutual trust are strengthened.

In 2021, our relations improved and the pace of cooperation of the two countries began to grow.

In order to improve diplomatic relations between our countries, during my visit we plan to open two consulates in the Russian Federation. And we also plan to open another consulate general in your country.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to ask you to open the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the city of Mandalay.

And to improve relations between our two countries in the field of economics, they created the Russian-Mainmaker Committee on Economic Cooperation. The fifth meeting of this committee was successfully held in our country this year.
