Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak visited the MAI National Research University. During the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the MPEI, Alexander Novak was elected his chairman. The Deputy Prime Minister listened to the report of the rector of the university of Nikolai Rogilev on the results of the work of the MAI, in 2023–2024 and the project of the development strategy of the university until 2036, which unites the possibilities of science, education and industry and is aimed at creating a platform for scientific and technological progress in the sectors TEK.

“To date, the TEK sector is the basis of our foreign economic potential. Among the key tasks that are facing the MAS are preparing personnel for energy. At the same time, within the framework of the university development strategy, it is also of great importance in the implementation of national projects on the tasks set by the President of Russia. We are talking about the production of high -tech competitive Russian equipment in the energy industry. We hope that the university will take an active part in this work, ”said Alexander Novak during a speech at a meeting of the MAIA Board of Trustees.

Alexander Novak visited the department of theoretical foundations of electrical engineering – one of the leading in the country in the relevant education profile, where he took part in the opening ceremony of a new stream lecture audience. In recent years, the department, as part of a comprehensive overhaul, also updated training audiences for classes with master’s and graduate students, and a training laboratory equipment was replaced.

At the end of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister answered students’ questions about the development strategy and tasks for energy in modern economic conditions.

The MISA has a vast material and technical base, which includes 12 institutions, more than 100 research laboratories, a specialized experimental plant, a unique educational thermal power plant, the largest scientific and technical library in the country, cyber polygon, renewal energy training ground, and the Center for Innovative Development of the NIU MAI, five branches, including two foreign ones.
