Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov. It discussed the development of education and tourism in the region.

“Our president Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin set a national goal – the realization of the potential of each person, the development of his talents, the education of patriotic citizens. Its achievement is facilitated by the measures of the national project “Youth and children“ and the active development of the education system. The Republic of Buryatia pays close attention to this. More than 15 thousand new places have been created in schools and kindergartens, 89 schools were repaired, ”the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

The construction of infrastructure is ongoing, for the period 2019–2024, 330 centers of education “Growth Point” were opened. The centers of digital education of children “IT-Cub” and “Quantoriums” work.

According to the results of the selection in 2025, within the framework of the Far Eastern track, the three higher educational institutions of the Republic of Buryatia are participants in the Priority 2030 program. In total, seven universities are operating in the region. Almost 21 thousand students study in them, the main part is in technical specialties. According to secondary vocational education programs, 49 organizations are trained, more than 31 thousand students in them.

In the Fedroekot “Professor” in the republic, clusters are already operating in four industries: railway transport, construction industry, engineering, forestry.

Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized the importance of creating a world -class inter -university “Baikal”. He will appear in Ulan-Ude as part of the third wave of selection. The network of modern campuses is created throughout the country on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. By 2030, within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children” in Russia, it is planned to open 25 such campuses, and by 2036 their number will increase to 40.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the dynamic development of tourism in the Republic of Buryatia and the active participation of the region in the national project “Tourism and Hospital”.

“Within the framework of the federal project“ Five Seas and Lake Baikal “The federal resort“ Magic Baikal “Magic Baikal is being built. In addition, infrastructure is developing, new numbers are introduced. 2025–2027 are supported by 16 projects under the modular hotel program.
