Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova congratulated the team of the National Medical Research Center for Eye Diseases named after Helmholtz with the 125th anniversary. The center was also congratulated by the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly Irina Yarovaya, assistant to the President of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko. The solemn event was held in Moscow as part of the XVIII Russian national ophthalmology forum.

The Deputy Prime Minister read out the congratulation of the government of the government Mikhail Mishustin. The head of government noted that the National Medical Research Center for the Eye Diseases named after Helmholtz is a legendary institution that is famous for its history and traditions. Today, the center is the flagship of domestic ophthalmology, where innovative approaches to treatment are used, research is being conducted, the problems of childhood diseases of the eyes are studied, modern types of diagnosis are developed, and high -tech assistance to thousands of patients from various regions of our country is being developed.

The Helmholtz center has gone a long way of becoming, an impressive clinical and scientific experience has been accumulated, many innovative methods of treatment of diseases of the visual organ have been developed, unique discoveries have been made. This is the only center in our country where patients with eyes from birth and to adulthood can get all types of ophthalmological care.

I sincerely thank you for your work, for your contribution to the development of science, medicine, advanced treatment methods. I thank your predecessors who, during the Great Patriotic War, developed complex methods of helping the wounded, and employees of the center, who today work on the front line, in the new regions and in the walls of the center, helping participants and veterans of a special military operation, ”said Tatyana Golikova.

Tatyana Golikova and Mikhail Murashko were awarded to the collective of the National Medical Research Center for Eye Diseases named after Helmholtz the state award of the Russian Federation – the Order of Pirogov.

The Deputy Prime Minister also awarded the state awards of the Russian Federation: the Order of Friendship-Deputy Director of the Center for Commercial Affairs Hanjian Anush Tigranovna, the medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, II degree-the scientist of the center Orlova Elena Nikolaevna, the diploma of the President of the Russian Federation-the director of the Center Neroev Vladimir Vladimirovich.

FSBI “National Medical Research Center for Eye Diseases named after Helmholtz” of the Ministry of Health of Russia-the leading research, medical consulting and educational institution of Russia. The center provides round -the -clock assistance to the population of all regions of our country, citizens of other states in the profile “ophthalmology”.

The center includes the 6 stationary departments equipped with modern diagnostic, medical and scientific equipment, the advisory and vicineling department, the daily hospital, the department of anesthesiology-resuscitation, 4 operating units, and other units.

659 people work in the center, of which 128 doctors, scientific employees – 77, more than 200 people – more than 200 people. Of the employees of the Center 27 Doctors of Sciences, 97 candidates of sciences.

A significant place in the activity of the Center is occupied by fundamental scientific and applied research. Over the past five years, 104 patents of the Russian Federation have been received for inventions.
