Participants discussed the current status of work on the routes, as well as the production of a domestic high -speed train. As of today, about 7.3 thousand people and 3 thousand units of construction equipment are employed in construction sites, work on creating a train for the HSR is in the schedule. The project will require 160 thousand tons of rails, almost 1.8 million tons of reinforcement, 3.1 million tons of cement.

Speaking to the meeting participants, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that, having implemented the project for the construction of the VSM, Russia will be one of the world leaders in the development of modern technologies of high-speed movement in the world.

Today, the total length of the lines of high -speed highways in the world is about 68 thousand km. Of these, 70% – this is 48 thousand km – falls on China. The annual growth of the National Security network in China is about 3 thousand km, and the passenger flow of Chinese high -speed highways already exceeds 4 billion people. Among the countries – leaders in the length of the National Security Network – Spain (~ 4 thousand km), Japan (~ 3.2 thousand km), France (~ 2.8 thousand km), Germany (~ 1.6 thousand km), Turkey (~ 1.2 thousand km) and others. According to the International Union of Railways, at the stage of construction in the world another 10 thousand km of high -speed lines.

“In Russia, in accordance with the President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, five lines of the VSM-from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Minsk, Yekaterinburg through Kazan, as well as lines to Adler and Ryazan, will be built. In accordance with the presidential order until March 2026, we will submit the main parameters and terms for the implementation of the following VSM projects, determine the priority of their construction, ”Vitaly Savelyev recalled.
