Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, a meeting of the Organizational Committee for the preparation and holding of the XI St. Petersburg International Forum of the United Cultures, which will be held on September 11–13, 2025, was held in the government of the government.
“The St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures is growing and gaining popularity. This year, the sites of its holding will be not only the State Hermitage and the State Academic Chapel, but also the famous Museum-Reserve “Tsarskoye Selo“. We will not only lay a new tradition, but also open, first of all, our foreign participants and guests, amazing beauty and special atmosphere of this reserved place. I am sure that the forum events in the recreated magnificent interior The Catherine Palace and surrounded by masterpieces of park architecture will be remembered for a long time, ”said Tatyana Golikova.
The theme of the forum this year is “Return to Culture – new opportunities”. Within the framework of the business program, 11 thematic sections will be organized, including the new one – “Art Education”.
Section curators will perform:
– “Business Culture” – the chairman of the “VEB.rf” Igor Shuvalov;
– “Cinema” – Executive Director of the Film Film Fyodor Sosnov;
– “Cultural heritage: traditions and modernity” – director of the Russian ethnographic museum Julia Kupina;
-“Media Culture”-General Director of ITAR-TASS Andrei Kondrashov;
– “Museums” – General Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky;
-“Musical Culture”-General Director of the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg Olga Homova;
– “The path of the united cultures and technologies to the cultural code of the future” is Roman Karmanov, Director General of the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives;
– “Theater” – artistic director of the State Theater of Nations Evgeny Mironov;
– “Traditional values as the basis of the dialogue of cultures” – Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky;
– “Circus” – General Director of the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue Edgard Zapashny;
– “Art Education” – Rector of GITIS Grigory Zaslavsky.
Within the framework of each site, a number of panel discussions will be held, and each a wide geography of participants is declared on each.
“Within the framework of the forum, a traditional solemn ceremony of presenting the Hermitage Prize in the field of culture and art will already be held. This year, the laureates will be the conductor and musician Theodore Krentzis and the General Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, ”said Tatyana Golikova.
The guests and participants of the forum will be figures of world culture: directors, artists, artists, writers, musicians, scientists and entrepreneurs. In total, more than 400 speakers from Russia and foreign countries will perform on the forum.
“To date, 34 official foreign delegations have confirmed their participation, including the highest officials of four international organizations, namely: the organization of Islamic cooperation, the interstate fund of humanitarian cooperation, the CIS Executive Committee, the League of the Arab states,” said Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of Russia.
According to her, the forum will traditionally become a platform for official negotiations with the heads of foreign relevant ministries both in bilateral and expanded multilateral format. In addition, the signing of bilateral documents is planned.
The forum will also be two unique cultural events – the Festival of Chinese culture and the days of Ethiopian culture.
A meeting with cultural figures and officials of the SCO countries is also planned.
The events of the thematic sections will traditionally be held in the General Staff of the Hermitage, the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg, the Great St. Petersburg State Circus, as well as for the first time in the Tsarskoye Selo Museum-Reserve, the Gatchina Museum-Reserve and the Alexander Theater.
