In the Coordinating Center of the Russian government in the VKS mode, the co-chairs of the intergovernmental Russian-Vietnamese commission on trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation (MPC)-Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Socialist Republic, Vietnam Hong Hong Kha, took place. The event was held at the initiative of the Vietnamese side.
It discussed bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, energy, scientific and educational fields, as well as tourism.
Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated Chan Hong Hong on the upcoming holiday-80th anniversary of the independence of Vietnam. He added that this year the official visit of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin and the visit of the Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Communist Party Vietnam to Moscow, and also praised the meeting with the NGO Fyong Lee, the wife of the wife of that Lama, and the wife of that Lama.
On a large scale in Moscow, a festival of Vietnamese culture was held: it was visited by almost 1 million people.

In terms of agricultural products, according to the results of 2024, almost 3 times increased the supply of wheat to Vietnam, more than 2 times increased the supply of corn. In Vietnam, there is a stable demand for Russian meat products. ”
Chan Hong Hong also thanked the Russian side for cooperation in the field of training and expressed interest in expanding the list of specialties in a number of directions, including artificial intelligence technologies (AI).
“According to our statistics, more than 3,300 students from Vietnam were trained in Russian universities in the past school year, of which almost 80% were within the framework of a government quota. Its volume today is 1 thousand budget places annually. This is the same volume that Russia provides, for example, to China, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Chan Hong Kha, in turn, noted the high potential of both countries in the development of AI technology: “We highly appreciate your ICT abilities. We also achieved good results. So we will cooperate with you. ”
Dmitry Chernyshenko also supported the interest of the Vietnamese side in the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence: “I see the prospects for interaction on the basis of the international alliance of artificial intelligence. Initially, the alliance was created within the framework of BRICS, but now the Associations of 14 countries are members of the alliance. At the same time, as of today, 25 applications for joining the alliance have been submitted. ”
The promotion of cooperation on the trade and economic track was also noted. For example, in terms of logistics message in 2025, the Russian company FESCO launched 2 new services for the delivery of goods from Vietnam to Russia. This indicates a business request to expand transport lines.
“The air traffic is growing between our countries: 5 Russian airlines are performed in Vietnamese cities 23 flights a week. We welcome the resumption of Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air flights to Russia. The Vietnamese direction is in great demand among our tourists. The number of tourists from Vietnam to Russia is also growing. From September this year, the term of an electronic visa in Russia will be extended to 30 days. I hope that this will also contribute to the popularization of Russia as a tourist destination for Vietnam citizens, ”said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
Another topic was cooperation in the oil and gas field. In May 2025, in the presence of President Vladimir Putin and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Lama signed intergovernmental agreements regarding cooperation in the oil and gas sphere. The necessary domestic procedures are promptly carried out to ensure the entry into force of these documents. This will help expand the possibilities for cooperation between countries in this area.
As part of the meeting, they noted the intensification of joint work on the creation of a Russian school in Vietnam on the basis of the relevant intergovernmental agreement.
