The winners and prize-winners of the 16th International Mathematics Olympiad Romanian Master of Mathematics. The Russian team of schoolchildren received two gold and two silver medals.
Russian schoolchildren were congratulated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov. “The importance of high -quality teaching and enthusiasm for schoolchildren mathematics emphasizes President Vladimir Putin. The high results of our winners and prize -winners show that in Russia there are capable, hardworking guys, highly professional teachers and mentors. I thank them for this contribution and wish you further development for the benefit of the native regions and the whole country. Within the framework of the national project “Science and Universities“ Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Centers began to work. Gold medals are awarded:

Silver medals received:
Vasily Patrushev, school number 9 with in -depth study of the Chinese language, Vladivostok;
Artyom Sadykov, Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 31, Chelyabinsk.
The leader of the team was the mathematics teacher of the Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239 Kirill Sukhov, his deputy-associate professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Moscow Physical and Technical Institute Pavel Kozhevnikov. “Today we are noting an important victory of our schoolchildren at the International Mathematical Olympiad. This achievement confirms the high level of development of natural education in our country. In Russia, all opportunities have been created for the training of future scientists, engineers and researchers. I want to express my sincere gratitude to our teachers and coaches, whose work and devotion to the cause helped the children achieve such heights. The guys performed tasks in remote format on the basis of the Sirius educational center in Sochi.
The Romanian Master of Mathematics International Olympiad is held annually in Bucharest (Romania). The competition was first held in 2008. Schoolchildren from different countries take part in the competition. They perform individual tasks within two days.
