The fifth season of the Summer University project ended
The fifth season of the Summer University project ended – a key platform for a global academic and cultural exchange. This year, more than 1.2 thousand people from 44 countries took part in the project. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He emphasized that the project is carried out as part of the Federal project “Russia in the world” of the national project “Youth and Children”.
““ The Summer University “has been successfully implemented since 2021. During this time, he proved his effectiveness as an instrument of scientific and educational diplomacy. More than 1.2 thousand people from 44 countries took part in the project alone, and over 5 thousand for all the time.“ The summer university “provides foreign students with the opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements of Russian science and the advantages of training in our country. The initiative responds to the strategic purpose of An increase in the number of foreign students in domestic universities delivered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, ”said Deputy Prime Minister.
As the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov noted, the project is implemented with the participation of the largest companies such as Rosatom, Rusal and Uralmashzavod.
“Within the framework of the“ Summer University, “Specialists of leading companies conduct master classes for students, advise children regarding the construction of a professional development path. Each participant in the project has the opportunity to personally evaluate the modern educational programs of our universities: this year, seminars and lectures in five areas-humanitarian, economic, IT and social,” the Minister said.
The reception of foreign students was carried out by three leading Russian universities – Kazan Federal University, Siberian Federal University and Ural Federal University. In addition, 13 partner universities from different regions of Russia joined the project, they helped implement various educational programs.
In project work, multinational teams of students developed solutions for the real sector of the economy. In total, 152 projects have been developed and protected.
The fifth season also included a rich cultural and educational program-attending exhibitions and theaters, sports events, industrial tours and acquaintance with the infrastructure of Russian universities.
