Assistant to the President of Russia Andrei Fursenko and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting of the Council for the implementation of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Synchrotron and Neutron Research and Research Infrastructure for the period until 2030 and further prospect.
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, President of the Kurchatov Institute, Mikhail Kovalchuk, Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Kadochnikov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Health Tatyana Semenova, representatives of other interested organizations, also took part in it. During the meeting, they discussed the current status of work on the creation of unique scientific attitudes of the Megasayens class and nuclear medicine complexes and adronal therapy.
Andrei Fursenko noted the importance of compliance with the deadlines when creating such attitudes and complexes, and also paid special attention to the development of technologies, which will be developed on the basis of research stations of the Scyth Center.
Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that measures to develop synchrotron and neutron research and research infrastructure in Russia are enshrined in the relevant decree of President Vladimir Putin.
“In our country, a program is being implemented on the creation and modernization of the network of unique scientific plants of the Megasayens class, nuclear medicine complexes and adrona therapy. They are called upon to make an important contribution to the achievement of the national goal set by President Vladimir Putin, technological leadership. Thanks to these attitudes, our country will be able to realize scientific potential, to ensure breakthrough research of directions, including a complex of directions, including Atomic industry, materials science, medicine.
Among them are the SKIF Central Committee in the Novosibirsk Region, the RIF on the island of Russian, PIK and the Center for Nuclear Medicine and Hadrony Therapy (modernization of five complexes) in the Leningrad Region, Strength and Omega in the Moscow Region, the technological storage complex Zelenograd, Kisi-Kurchatov in Moscow. Vice Prime Minister paid special attention to the creation of a source of synchrotron radiation of the generation of 4+ SKIF Central Committee and commissioning of 25 research stations of the International Center for Neutron Studies based on the PIK high-flow reactor.
A report on the current status of work on the creation of unique scientific attitudes of the Megasayens class was made by the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov.
“The event to create such research infrastructure is the key and the most resourceful in the Federal Scientific and Technical Program of Development. As a result, a network research infrastructure with the localization of sources in various regions of Russia will be created, ”he said.
Separately, the minister dwelled on the implementation of the project to create a source of synchrotron radiation of the generation 4+ Scythian Central Committee.
“We have created a large -scale program, and it is moving. Now it is important to make efforts and bring everything to the end. The construction is a great responsibility, because the volume is really serious. What we do can do single countries, ”said Mikhail Kovalchuk.
In December 2024, a line accelerator (part of the Scythian structure) was launched. In May of this year, the work of a booster synchrotron was launched, the first synchrotron radiation on the installation was obtained. By the end of August, it is planned to enter the design parameter of 3 GEV power (one of the two main parameters of the synchrotron radiation source). Currently, scientists of the Institute of Nuclear Physics. G.I. Budker SB RAS (the main manufacturer of equipment for the acceleration and assault complex) is a lot of work in this part.
The manufacture of equipment of the main drive of the Scythian was made by 95.5%. It is in full at the site of the facility, in the case of the manufacturing stands, large -block assembly of the elements of the accelerator is carried out.
In parallel with this, the preparation of the team, which will work at the installation, continues. The main forge of personnel for the Scythian will be the Novosibirsk State University.
In general, the SKIF Central Committee is a complex of 34 buildings and structures, as well as engineering and technological equipment. The readiness of the equipment of seven experimental stations of the first stage is more than 95%.
The Ministry of Education and Science is working on attracting industrial partners interested in the work of such megasine installations. During a series of events, they formulated research requests, including in the field of petrochemistry, biology, microelectronics and others.
Yulia Dyakova, director of the Kurchatov Institute, spoke about the implementation of 12 Megasayens class and nuclear medicine complexes as part of the program. In particular, she noted that for the commissioning of the 25 research stations of the PIK reactor, 11 out of 20 stations were already manufactured and delivered, 9 stations are still being developed. She emphasized that the modernization of such attitudes as Kisi-Kurchatov, Omega, TNK Zelenograd, RIF, Ray U-70 and Luch-Proton, and is on schedule. It is expected that in the Ru-Proton complex the first Gantry Patriotic War in Russia-a radial installation for medicine.
