On July 31, the final stage of the Big Change contest for schoolchildren of 5–7 grades was held at the Artek International Children’s Center. It was attended by more than 700 students from 67 regions of Russia.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also talked with the first “ambassador of the world” of the USSR Ekaterina Lycheva, who is often called Soviet Samantha Smith. In the 1980s, she, like Samante Smith, became a symbol of children’s diplomacy and the desire for peace between the USSR and the USA.
Ekaterina Lycheva spoke about the international children’s program “World BRICS – The World of the Future”, which is now taking place in Artek. According to the results of the program, more than 3200 articians from more than 69 countries of the world will accept a joint declaration-show for all heads of state “for peace” and invite five children from each country of the world in 2026 to the Artek MDC.
The Deputy Prime Minister also visited the DNA allocation laboratory, which uses DNA release technology from different living objects for further genetic research.
The All -Russian contest “Big Change” is the flagship project “Movement of the First.” The competition is held with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education and Science.
