Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with the NGO Fyong Lee, the wife of the General Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Lama, who visits Russia at the head of the delegation participating in the Festival of Vietnamese Culture-Symphony of Tropical Paints in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Recall that in early May she accompanied that Lama during his official visit to Russia on the occasion of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

At the meeting, they discussed cooperation between countries.

Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that the coming year is special for Russia and Vietnam. It is marked by a number of important historical dates. In addition to Victory Day, this is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam from American troops.

“Between our countries, a substantial and confidential political dialogue is supported. We highly appreciate the results of recent negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Lama during his aforementioned visit. Aimed at the consistent implementation of the agreements reached according to their results. We also pay special attention to interaction through the legislative bodies of Russia and Vietnam. This is important, taking into account their significant role in the promotion of a bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia highly appreciated the interaction with Vietnam Vietnam Vietnam, Chan Hong Kha, with whom they head the national units of the intergovernmental Russian-Vietnamese commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

Ngo Fyong Lee thanked Dmitry Chernyshenko for invitation to visit Russia and assistance in organizing the Vietnamese culture festival by Russian ministries and departments and all Vietnam friends.

The contribution to the development of bilateral relations is made by the interaction of Russian regions with the cities and provinces of Vietnam. An example of fruitful cooperation is the launch of the first stage of the plant for the production and processing of dairy products of the Vietnamese company Th True Milk in May 2025, which is successfully sold in the region. The ceremony on this occasion was attended by Dmitry Chernyshenko and then Lam.

The issues of education and training of personnel were raised.

“Given the great authority of the Russian Higher School in Vietnam, we will continue to interact in the field of education and training, including the training of Vietnamese boys and girls in Russian universities due to the federal budget as part of the special quota of the Government of the Russian Federation,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Dmitry Chernyshenko promised to work out the request of the Vietnamese side to increase the mentioned quota, including at the expense of creative specialties.

Now work is underway on the project to create a Russian school on the basis of a former diversified technical center in Hanoi. It is also planned to open a regional center for the study of the Russian language in Southeast Asia on the basis of the Khana branch of the Russian Language Institute named after A.S. Pushkin.

Dmitry Chernyshenko turned to NGO Fyong Lee with a request to visit the site where the Russian school will be built, and expressed hope for its support in the implementation of this project.

At the same time, Dmitry Chernyshenko spoke about the activities of the Sirius educational center in Sochi, which interested NGO Fyong Lee. He invited her to visit Sirius to personally get acquainted with the conditions for the development of talented children.

He also emphasized the importance of building up cultural exchanges and expressed appreciation for the decision of Vietnam to take part in the International Music Competition “Intervation” in Moscow on September 20.

“We attach great importance to building mutual tourist flows, which is facilitated by the opening of direct regular flights between the two countries,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

In 2024, about 230 thousand Russians visited Vietnam. From January to June of this year – 260 thousand. According to forecasts, by the end of this year this indicator will reach 450 thousand.
