Alexander Novak spoke at the plenary meeting of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum in the Republic of Uzbekistan

The deputy chairman of the Russian government, Alexander Novak, made a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyev and performed at the plenary meeting of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the meeting with the head of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the oil and gas, coal, energy, nuclear and financial and banking spheres, as well as in the field of high-tech projects and industry.

“Relations between Russia and Uzbekistan, based on the principles of equal rights, mutual respect and taking into account each other, are the nature of a comprehensive strategic partnership and allied. In Russia, they proudly monitor how Uzbekistan conducts large -scale economic reforms, achieves accelerated economic growth, confidently strengthens its positions at the regional and international levels, ”said Alexander Novak.

During the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Deputy Prime Minister said that over the past three years, investment agreements for more than $ 5 billion have been signed on the forum fields. He called the countries of Asia the main trading partners of Russia and noted the dynamic development of trade with Uzbekistan. For four years, the turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan has almost doubled and overcame the mark of $ 10 billion. The presidents of the two countries set the task to increase it to $ 30 billion in the coming years.

“The Russian economy in difficult geopolitical conditions demonstrates stability and active development. Last year, the economic growth rate amounted to 4.3%, which is significantly higher than the average IRI indicators. At the same time, investment growth in two years was 18%. Russia remains one of the key participants in world trade, actively develops logistics, the geography of cooperation. For us, the priority is the strengthening of trade and economic relations with the countries of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, building integration ties based on the principles of sovereign equality of states and respect, ”said Alexander Novak.

He called Russia an open economy, tightly integrated into the global world market as the fourth economy in the world, as well as a participant in key international associations, large cooperative projects.

“We are ready to offer other countries full -format technological and industrial partnerships, including ensuring the full life cycle of goods and services with the training of national personnel, localization of production, engineering support. A similar approach to cooperation allows you to establish strong ties between states, increases the stability of our companies in the global market, makes it possible to work with partners for a long time with a great perspective and reinforcements for the future, ”added Deputy Prime Minister.
