Deputy Chairman of the Government Dmitry Chernyshenko held the next meeting of the Presidium of the Commission on the Scientific and Technological Development of Russia, at which the winners of the competitive selection for the provision of grants to scientific centers (NCMU) were approved.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Kadochnikov, representatives of scientific and educational organizations.
“According to the results of the competition, 10 NCMUs were selected. Their activities will be aimed at developing and introducing the most important high -tech technologies into the economy, determined by the Decree of President Vladimir Putin. The size of the subsidy for each of the selected world -class scientific centers will be up to 320 million rubles annually, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the examination of all applications received was provided by the Scientific and Technical Council of the Commission, and thanked his head Gennady Krasnikov for the work.
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov said that applications for all seven priority areas of scientific and technological development approved by the head of state were received for competitive selection.
“In the future, it is planned to fix the selected scientific centers for the industry federal executive bodies. This will provide the most tight interaction of the parties, ”the minister said.
“Last year, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 18, 2024, seven priority areas of scientific and technological development of our country were approved. In this regard, when considering applications, the Scientific and Technical Council of the Commission and the Russian Academy of Sciences proceeded from that at least one world-class scientific center correspond to each priority. In total, we considered 46 applications, ”said RAS President Gennady Krasnikov.
Grants in the form of subsidies from the federal budget for the creation of the NCMU will be provided to 10 centers-winning:
– The Scientific Center of the World War IT SB RAS “Heatophysics and Energy” (Institute of Heatophysics named after S.S. Kutateladze SB RAS),
– The Scientific Center of the World War “New Materials of Special Purpose” (Tomsk State University),
– Center for cybernetic medicine and neuroprosthetics (Federal Center for the brain and neurotechnologies of the FMBA),
– The Center for Modern Selection of Agricultural Plants (Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Medical Sciences),
– The scientific center of the world -class “Agricultural Engineering of the Future” (Stavropol State Agrarian University),
-Center for Perspective microelectronics (Moscow Physics and Technical Institute),
– “Electronic and quantum technologies based on synthetic diamond” (NIYAU “MIFI”),
– “Intellectual unmanned aviation systems” (Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev),
– Center for the rational use of rare -metal raw materials (Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry named after A.N. Frumkin RAS),
– The Scientific Center of the World -War Region “High -tech bio -economics” (National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”).
The size of the grants is determined by the development program of each center, which is formed for a period of at least six years.
Recall that the first world -class scientific centers were created in 2020 as part of the National Project “Science and Universities”, the implementation of which ended last year. On behalf of President Vladimir Putin, a new stage in the development of centers will be implemented as part of the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation”.
