The deputy chairman of the government, the curator of the North Caucasus Federal District (SCF) Alexander Novak made a working trip to the Stavropol Territory.

Alexander Novak and Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov took part in the opening ceremony of the art object in front of the building of the new terminal of the Mineralnye Vody Mineralnye Airport named after M.Yu. Lermontov. The sculpture made in the form of silver soaring drops of water, in which the sun’s rays are reflected, symbolizes the energy and purity of the mineral waters of the resorts of the Stavropol Territory.

“The Caucasus is rightfully considered the All -Russian health resort. There are numerous mineral springs and balneological resorts, known not only throughout Russia, but in the world. Therefore, the main goal of the art objects contest was to reflect the whole importance of mineral water for the region and the value of human health, ”said Alexander Novak.

The Deputy Prime Minister took part in the work of the II of the Caucasian Investment Forum, where he performed at the plenary meeting “The image of the North-Wames in 2036.” The presidents of South Ossetia and Abkhazia Alan Gagloev and Badra Gunb, the heads of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, the leaders of large Russian companies investing in the development of the Caucasus also took part in the discussion. Among them are the chairman of the board of directors of the Renova Group of Companies Viktor Vekselberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Safmar Group Mikhail Gutseriev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Reserve Corporation LLC Alexander Lebedev, General Director of Ozon Holding LLC Dmitry Kim, Chairman of the Association of Pitomnikovovs and Gardeners of the Stavropol Territory Shirinov.

The Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the role of the regions of the North Caucasus in the economic development of Russia. He designated the main advantages of the region that make it especially attractive to investors.

“The North Caucasus is a geostrategic region with a huge potential for development. We know and understand its main advantages: these are natural wealth, an excellent climate, a unique geographical position with the possibility of developing transport and logistics centers and various transport corridors. This, of course, is human capital. The North Caucasus is the only region where the population is growing at a high rate, ”said Alexander Novak.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the development of the North Caucasus has been in the zone of special attention of the President of the Russian Federation for many years.

“For more than 10 years, the state program for the development of the North Caucasus Federal District has been implemented. Also, the Prime Minister pays special attention to the subject. In 2021, on his behalf, models of economic development were developed for the development of the North Caucasian regions. If we talk about the future of the North Caucasus, the region has every opportunity to reach a new stage of its development, to achieve success in all sectors. On the part of the Government of the Russian Federation, we will maximize that the region is safe, comfortable, where I would like to live and where I would like to come, ”Alexander Novak noted in his speech.

The Deputy Prime Minister, together with the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the North Caucasus Federal District, Yuri Chaika, opened an exhibition of achievements and investment capabilities of the North Caucasian Federal District, which united the projects of Russian subjects and partner countries, as well as large national corporations.

Alexander Novak and Yuri Chaika took part in the solemn ceremony of launching network gas for the second stage of the production capacities of the Ingush agricultural complex Sunzha, one of the largest agricultural complexes of the North Caucasus Federal District. The event was also attended by the head of the Republic of Ingushetia Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov and the general director of Gazprom Interregiongaz LLC Sergey Gustov.

Gasification will create conditions for year -round cultivation of vegetables, increase production volumes, expand the range of products, create new modern jobs.

“Production development is an important link in strengthening the economic potential of the region. The North Caucasus Federal District is one of the main suppliers of food for the country. The district provides not only internal needs, but also actively supplies vegetables, fruits, livestock products to other regions of Russia. Gasification of enterprises allows you to increase the economic efficiency and environmental friendliness of production. Thus, to reduce the harmful effects on the environment and increase the availability of quality products, goods and services to the market, ”said Deputy Prime Minister.

Alexander Novak took part in the ceremony of presenting the II All -Russian investment prize “Top”. The award is awarded to investment projects and companies for their contribution to the growth of the economy and the development of the investment potential of the regions of Russia. In total, 11 nominations have been stated – for the best investment projects in the field of innovation, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, in the field of education, healthcare and others.

“The prize has already become a place of attraction for the most creative, most talented entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists who showed themselves in various fields. A high interest in participating in the nominees from all over the country is due to the fact that the prize makes it possible for laureates to declare themselves, present their ideas before the target audience, attract the attention of investors and potential partners to promising projects in various directions – including tourism, agriculture, healthcare, education, ecology, infrastructure. These projects are aimed at developing the key sectors of the Russian economy, which contribute to the creation of a favorable investment environment, directly affect the quality of life of our citizens, ”said Alexander Novak.
