Deputy Chairman of the Government Alexei Overchuk took part in a meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, who was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Petkevich.

The parties considered a wide range of issues of the advice of the Council, including the development of the regulatory framework of the Union and the interaction of the EAEU with the third countries.

A decision was made to extend the experiment of Russia and Belarus on the use of navigation seals until July 1, 2026. The experiment is carried out in relation to timber and woodworking products placed under the customs procedure of export in Belarus and decreasing from the territory of Russia. The use of navigation seals will optimize logistics, simplify and speed up the delivery procedure of goods to the recipient.

During the meeting, the report “On the advisability of rapprochement of qualification requirements for the most popular professions in the labor market and the procedure for confirming professional qualifications” was approved. The draft report made a comparison of national qualifications in the EAEU members, as well as comparing the key levels of vocational education, the requirements for labor activities in the EAEU states in terms of professional qualifications.

For subsequent consideration at a meeting of the Eurasian Inter-government Council, a report report was approved on the progress of the implementation of the plan of priority measures for the digitalization of freight railway transportation in the interests of developing trade and economic cooperation between the Union and the People’s Republic of China, with the other. The measures suggest a transition to a comprehensive network, free -free technology of cargo transportation in international traffic, including the transition to legally significant electronic document management in terms of transportation documents.

Changes were made to the technical regulations of the EAEU “On the safety of gas of the natural natural, prepared for transportation and (or) use” aimed at eliminating excess barriers to entrepreneurial activity and resolving issues of problem practice assessing the conformity of natural gas.

The draft annual report “On the implementation of the main areas of international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union” was approved for 2024 in order to submit it at the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The report contains an analysis of the cooperation of the Union with international organizations, regional integration and interstate associations, third countries.

To submit to the Higher Eurasian Economic Council, a draft of the main areas of economic cooperation in the field of sports in the EAEU is also approved. The main directions formulated goals and planned economic effects from the development of economic cooperation in the field of sports within the framework of the Union, and such areas of such cooperation and relevant measures.

The parties also approved a report to the Higher Eurasian Economic Council “On the implementation of approaches to the development of trade and economic cooperation with the main partners of the EAEU for the medium-term perspective for 2024” and the commission report on the progress of the strategic directions of development of the Eurasian economy of integration until 2025.
