The Deputy Prime Minister read out the welcome word of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In particular, in it the head of state expressed confidence that the work of the forum will be productive and will serve as deepening the dialogue and partnership between countries and peoples.
“We see that the forum strengthens our partnership with the countries of the organization of Islamic cooperation, including within the framework of bilateral relations. I want to note a constantly growing interest in the events of the forum by other states and international organizations. Confirmation of this is a large number of participants and the wide geography of countries. Russia’s relations with the Islamic world are characterized by stable development and growth of economic indicators. I want to thank our partners from Muslim countries for actively participating in the forum events and for willingness to openly share their experience and innovative ideas. Special thanks to the Republic of Tatarstan and all organizers for the high level of training and support of events, ”said Deputy Prime Minister.
At the discussion session held as part of the plenary meeting, Marat Khusnullin spoke about the implementation of the new national project “Infrastructure for Life”. Including the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this national project collects together all the tools aimed at solving the main problem-improving the quality of life of Russians. He spoke about the work on the introduction of digital technologies in the areas of construction and housing and communal services, the improvement of the territories of settlements, as well as measures to reduce the investment and construction cycle.
In addition, a discussion session dedicated to the development of the North -South international transport corridor, which was performed by Marat Khusnullin, was held at the KazanForum site.
“Historically, we already have a developed automobile network with the CIS countries and the post -Soviet space. Now our main goal is to synchronize this network and bring all areas to a single standard of throughput. We are actively developing the North-South Corridor, part of which passes through Central Asia. All countries of the region are extremely interested in reducing the road time and increasing the volume of cargo transportation. We also continue to work on the development of the European-Western China. I want to note that the volume of road transportation from China has grown by 70%over the past year, ”said Deputy Prime Minister.
The deputy chairman of the government also emphasized that the most important priorities are the creation of seamless logistics at the checkpoints, the unification of customs documents and the implementation of a unified information system. The goal has been set to reduce the passage time through the checkpoints to 10 minutes per vehicle according to international standards.
In addition, Marat Khusnullin held a number of working meetings in the fields of the forum. Including with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khojaev, a discussion of the issues of trade and economic interaction, cooperation in the areas of construction and tourism, the development of transport infrastructure and transport corridors, as well as other areas of work took place.
With the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, Deputy Prime Minister examined the prospects for the development of the region, including issues related to the involvement of investments, areas of tourism and construction.
