The meeting took place as part of the official visit of the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam to the Russian Federation.

Good afternoon, dear comrade Lam!

Welcome to the house of the Government of the Russian Federation.

With great warmth, I recall my visit to Hanoi in January of this year. And I would like to ask, taking this opportunity to convey the words of greetings and the kindest wishes to President Vietnam to the respected comrade Lyong Kyong, as well as to my colleague-Prime Minister Comrade Fam Min Tinya.

We are sincerely glad for your personal participation in the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is a significant date for the peoples of Russia and Vietnam, which carefully store the historical memory of the feat of the generation of winners.

One of the important results of World War II was the proclamation of Vietnam’s independence in September 1945.

On the eve of your visit – April 30, there was 50 years of liberation of South Vietnam and the reunification of the country. I cordially congratulate you and all Vietnamese comrades, citizens with this anniversary. We are rightfully proud of the contribution of our country to the victory of the heroic Vietnamese people in the struggle for freedom and independence.

Along with participation in celebrations in Moscow, you will also negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I would like to assure that the Russian government will ensure the operational implementation of decisions that will be made at the highest level.

Vietnam is an important partner in Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. This year we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. And we are interested in strengthening the Russian-Vietnamese comprehensive strategic partnership.

We pay priority attention to building trade and economic cooperation and an increase in mutual turnover. New joint projects are also being worked out in the field of energy, transport, industry, agriculture, in high technologies and the “digit”. The Russian-Vietnamese interdirmy is actively working, which is headed by my deputy Dmitry Chernyshenko from the Russian side.

We attach particular importance to the development of the direct interaction of the regions of Russia and Vietnam. We will continue to create favorable conditions for launching new joint ventures, primarily with the participation of small and medium -sized businesses.

We also value humanitarian ties with Vietnam. Our countries have a rich national heritage. Russian classical literature is well known in Vietnam. Russia helped Vietnamese friends in the creation of national ballet and opera.

More and more Russian tourists visit Vietnam, get acquainted with its original culture and art. And I have a stay in the hospitable haany, in Vietnam left the warmest memories.

I am ready to discuss with you the most pressing issues of the interaction of Russia and Vietnam. Please, you have a word, dear comrade, that lam.

I am glad to lead the high -ranking delegation of Vietnam, visit Russia on an official visit and take part in the celebrations about victory in the Great Patriotic War. Glad of today’s meeting with you.

Thank you for the warm feelings for Vietnam and the Vietnamese people, the Vietnamese leaders and to me personally. Thank you for a high assessment of special relations between our countries. We follow the development of Russia with interest. We warmly congratulate you on all the successes that you have achieved under the leadership of President Putin and under the management of the Russian government, your personal leadership.

Vietnam advocates that Russia will steadily develop and strengthen its role in world architecture. My visit to Russia today is aimed at confirming our great attention to the comprehensive strategic partnership of our countries. We remember a good past and want to aim at further cooperation between our countries, striving for a new era and the prosperity of our countries.

A visit to the Vietnam President Putin in June last year and your visit to Vietnam in January, as well as the visits of Vietnamese leaders to Russia made a great contribution to the intensification of cooperation, to implement joint projects of our countries and establish ways to develop our ties.
