Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the current economic situation. It was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Irek Fayzullin, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Construction, the Rosstat, the governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as the Bank of Russia, as well as the Bank of Russia. “Sber”, “VEB.rf”, experts and scientists from the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and short -term forecasting, the analytical center of JSC “Dom.rf”, structures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, etc.
The participants discussed the results of the work of the economic bloc in March and for the first quarter of 2025 as a whole and proposals for the further development of the economy, taking into account current calls. In particular, housing development issues were raised, including stimulating the demand and sales of finished housing, as well as agricultural sectors, including the conditions for seasonal field work in 2025.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, according to the results of the 1st quarter, GDP growth amounted to 2.3% taking into account the calendar factor in February.
Many sectors of the economy in the first quarter continued to grow indicators in comparison with the same period last year.
The most actively in January – March, segments such as the engineering industry, which showed +13%of production, the catering area showed an increase of 7.1%, the construction industry added 6.9%, the chemical complex showed an increase of 4.8%.
Current indicators are observed against the background of low unemployment, which amounted to 2.3% (against 2.4% in January – February of the current year). The increase in wages of the population remains. In February, salaries grew by 13.6% in nominal and 3.2% in real terms. The growth of real disposable incomes in the first quarter amounted to +8.4% a year by the year.
The representative of the Ministry of Economic Development noted the strengthening of the ruble exchange rate in April, as well as a decrease in inflation.
According to the results of the meeting, Alexander Novak instructed the Ministry of Construction to provide information on the volume of sales of finished and built housing in the regions. Together with Dom.rf JSC, the Ministry of Construction is instructed to develop the criteria for the use of support measures to stimulate housing demand in certain regions, where the task of resettlement of emergency housing is most relevant.
The Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance is instructed to continue monitoring the current situation in the economy with the assessment of current risks until the end of the year.
